Bharatanatyam Beginner – Showcase 2025!
This showcase opportunity is for our students currently enrolled in Bharatanatyam Beginner Level 1 and would like to participate in our annual Studio J showcase. Please do NOT register if you are not part of the current Bharatanatyam Beginner batch.

**PLEASE NOTE:**

– Regular attendance throughout this course is required in order to participate in the final stage performance. Class recordings will be available for independent catch up between classes. If you miss several sessions, and in fairness to all students, your participation in showcase will be at Studio J’s discretion.
– Showcase will be on Saturday 5 July at Bunjil Place Theatre, Narre Warren. Dress rehearsal is from approx 10 or 11am onwards, with performance from 7pm. Students must keep this entire day available for now – exact timings to be confirmed.
– Unfortunately, there are no refunds, exchanges or credits for any reason.

Teacher – Rashan Samsul
Rashan started learning Kandyan dance in Sri Lanka, at the age of 10. He later went on to learn Bharatanatyam, and graduated from the Kalakshetra in Chennai, India. Rashan was the first Muslim Bharatanatyam and Kandyan dancer in Sri Lanka, and his dedication to dance has been unwaivering. Since arriving in Melbourne 4 years ago, Rashan has continued teaching and performing across Melbourne with his company Pravaha Dancing Foundation. He hopes to share his knowledge of dance with the next generation and make his mark on the Australian artistic landscape.
