Bollywood Intermediate – Performance training
Super charge your performance skills in this intermediate level course which features more Bollywood femme style choreographies. Learn musicality, expressions, group formations & dance techniques to help you become a better performer! Prior dance training is required. - This course is a performance batch that requires ongoing commitment, so we are prioritising entry to students who are looking to enrol on an ongoing basis (not just a one off term)
- *Upon completion of 2-3 terms, there may be live performance opportunities however this is dependent upon your class attendance, progression, ability to work well in a group, and technical capability. Opportunities for live performances are not guaranteed. If you are selected to perform, additional rehearsals outside of regular class will be required in order to prepare for events.
Teacher – Sonya Joshi
Sonya has been dancing for over 20 years and has trained in multiple dance styles, including Bollywood, Bhangra and Odissi. Sonya was part of Shiamak Dance Academy for 10 years, and later co-founded her own dance company – LAKS Dance Crew. Sonya has extensive experience in performing, teaching and choreographing. A highly sought after performer, Sonya currently perform with Melbourne’s leading Bollywood group, Sapphire Dance, and the all girls Bhangra team, Sherniyan.
