Desi HipHop Intermediate – Showcase 2024!
This course is designed for students who already have a solid foundation in hip hop and want a challenging class with more advanced steps & technique. Students will be part of Studio J’s annual stage show – join us on stage and live out your dance dreams!

Course summary
This course features more complex Hip-Hop freestyle & choreography,with a strong focus on👇🏼
- Refining and progress your fundamentals in hip hop
- Understanding music patterns and foundational grooves
- Exploring & creating different combinations of movements
- Learn combinations and movements to the latest desi tracks and remixes.
- Have fun with a friendly group of adult students
- Get weekly practice videos to support your learning outside of class
- Have access to a private group chat (via WhatsApp), to encourage communication with other students and your teacher
- This course is part of Studio J’s annual stage show. Join us on stage and live out your dance dreams with a crowd cheering you on!!
- Showcase will be on Sunday 8 September at Bunjil Place Theatre, Narre Warren. Dress rehearsal from approx 11am onwards, with performance 6 – 8pm. Students MUST keep this whole day available.
- Regular attendance throughout this course is required in order to participate in the final stage performance. If you have missed 2 or more sessions, then participation in showcase will be up to the teachers discretion.Please consider this commitment prior to enrolling.

Teacher – Samson Dass
Born and raised in India, Samson has been dancing for over 16 years in various styles including Hip-Hop, House, Afro, freestyle and popping. Samson ran his own dance studio in India before moving to Qatar, where he continued to teach. After moving to Melbourne in 2018, Samson resumed teaching while also participating in his main passion – dance battles! Samson aspires to create a positive teaching environment, motivating each student to discover their dancer within.
